Phil Jones says he is happy to remain Manchester United's odd-job man and will carry on playing in three positions.

The England international operated as a central defender, a right-back and a midfielder last season, and although he is yet to discuss his role with new manager David Moyes, Jones is happy to continue slotting in wherever required rather than specialising in one position.

"We haven't spoken about it yet, but I'm sure as the tour progresses then it will arise," he told ManUtd.com.

"It's like I said last season when I was playing right-back, centre-back and centre midfield, I just enjoy playing football and if that means playing in different positions then that's fine. I just want to play. Hopefully I can play plenty of games."

Jones played as a centre-back as United got their first win under Moyes when they beat an Australian A-League 5-1 on Saturday. Young midfielder Jesse Lingard and striker Danny Welbeck both scored twice.
