Tottenham set to sign Belgian winger

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed they have reached an agreement to sign highly rated FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli.

The player's agent, Karim Rafiki, told the Belga news agency that he would sign a five-year contract after undergoing a medical on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs then confirmed the imminent transfer on their official Twitter feed.

A statement on the club's official website added: "Subject to personal terms and medical, the Belgian international winger will join up with the squad for pre-season training in Hong Kong next week."

Chadli, 23, who has been capped on 14 occasions by his country, joined FC Twente from AGOVV Apeldoorn in 2010 and went on to make 106 appearances for the side scoring 31 goals."

Sudpress reports that Chadli, whose Twente contract is due to expire in 2014, will cost €7 million.
