Gerrard and Aspas goals seal win for Liverpool
Steven Gerrard inspired Liverpool to a 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory in front of 95,000 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Gerrard opened the scoring after a typical burst into the box before want-away striker Luis Suarez came on to rapturous applause from the sell-out crowd for his first Liverpool appearance since April after he received a ten-match ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.
The Uruguayan showed neat skills to tee up summer recruit Iago Aspas who tapped in and secured victory in the club's second game of their three-match pre-season tour Down Under.
