Gary Hooper has finalised his move from Celtic to Norwich for an undisclosed fee after signing a four-year deal.

The 25-year-old, who netted 82 goals in three seasons at Celtic Park, passed a medical at Carrow Road on Thursday. Hughton had been chasing Hooper's signature since January.

QPR were also interested in the striker but Hooper has opted to take a crack at the Premier League.

Hooper becomes the latest in an array of impressive summer signings from Hughton, who is intent on ensuring Norwich are not involved in next season's relegation battle.

Hughton will be hoping Hooper can form a deadly partnership with £8.5 million striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel. Norwich have also brought in Dutch midfielder Leroy Fer, England Under-21 international Nathan Redmond from Birmingham and former Manchester City full-back Javier Garrido from Lazio.

"There's been a lot of speculation going back to January and I'm pleased to have finally put pen to paper and joined Norwich," Hooper said.

"I can't wait to get down to work, to get training with the lads and working with the coaching staff.

"I knew Chris Hughton and Colin Calderwood from my youth days at Spurs so it will be great to be back working with them in the Premier League.

"I have scored goals at every level I have played at and the challenge of playing in the Premier League is really exciting to me."
