Yaya Toure believes Manchester City's four summer signings are "unbelievable players" and possess the quality the club needs if they are to regain the Premier League title.

City have spent around £90 million on midfielder Fernandinho, winger Jesus Navas and strikers Alvaro Negredo and Stevan Jovetic.

And Toure believes their squad needed bolstering after a campaign where they finished as runners-up in the Premier League and the FA Cup and were eliminated from the Champions League in the group stages.

"It's very good to see," he told the Mirror. "They're unbelievable players. They play with their national teams - Negredo, Navas and Fernandinho - and Jovetic is a great young talent, he's got a fantastic future ahead of him.

"I'm glad all these players have come to the club because we need it and hope this season is going to be fine for us.

"The club want to improve in every aspect and I hope this season is going to be good for us because we know we have a great challenge against Chelsea, Arsenal, United, Tottenham and Liverpool."

Toure feels new manager Manuel Pellegrini's team-building skills will serve City well and believes the Chilean is the right man for the club.

"The new manager comes with a great reputation for what he did in Spain and we're all working hard to try and deliver what he wants from us," Toure said. "He's a very good choice as manager and I hope he will lead us to a lot of success.

"When you change manager sometimes it's hard because you have to adapt to new methods. But it will be fine and the training is very good.

"This guy is called 'the engineer' in Spain because he works so hard to build such good teams. Every manager has his own style. [Roberto] Mancini was fantastic, an amazing guy for us, and now we have a new manager who has a different style."
