Nani could be set to leave Manchester United after Monaco's sporting director revealed that the winger has been offered to them.

The 26-year-old has played no part on United's pre-season tour after staying in England to undergo a nose operation. United wrapped up their commitments in the Far East with a 5-2 win over Kitchee in Hong Kong.

Nani endured a frustrating campaign last season, scoring three goals in 21 appearances, and was sent off in United's 2-1 Champions League last-16 defeat by Real Madrid when his side led 1-0.

New arrival Wilfried Zaha has also impressed on the flanks in pre-season, further increasing speculation around Nani's future at the club.

David Moyes might be tempted to cash in with Nani having just one year remaining on his contract, and will reportedly consider offers of £13 million.

Monaco have already swelled their ranks this summer by splashing out more than £100m on the likes of Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez.

But last week Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri denied he was interested in Nani, though insisted he could yet make more additions to his squad before the transfer window closes.

However Monaco sporting director Vadim Vasilyev refused to rule out making a move for Nani. He told L'Equipe: "He has been proposed to us. He is a very good player, but there have been no talks so far.

"We have already changed our group quite a bit and we also want to offer opportunities to our young players.

"We still have time to make a few alterations before the end of the transfer window, if needed."
