Guardiola shrugs off Luiz talk
Pep Guardiola has dismissed suggestions Bayern Munich are considering a move for Chelsea defender David Luiz.
Guardiola had indicated earlier this month that Thiago Alcantara would be the club's final signing of the summer, and the club's CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, told Sport Bild: "We have two players for every position - this is our squad for next season."
Bayern have been linked with a move for Luiz with Guardiola, who has long been credited with an interest in the Brazil international, reported to be seeking to reinforce his defence after the 4-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Supercup.
The former Barcelona coach, though, insists that is not the case.
"He's not coming to Munich," Guardiola said at the presentation of the Audi Cup pre-season tournament in Munich. "We've got four or five central defenders. There is no truth to the speculation."
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has also said there is "no chance" Luiz will be sold.
