Bayern Munich came from behind to see off Manchester City 2-1 at the Allianz Arena and win the Audi Cup.

Alvaro Negredo opened the scoring in the 61st minute after using pace and strength to hold off Javi Martinez before firing low into Manuel Neur's bottom right corner.

However just four minutes later Bayern were awarded a penalty when Pablo Zabaleta was penalised for handball. Thomas Mueller stepped up and coolly slotted home.

The comeback was complete in the 72nd minute, when Mueller crossed the ball for Mario Mandzukic to head into the net.

Edin Dzeko missed a glorious chance to equalise after being put through on goal two minutes from time, stabbing the ball into the ground with Neur palming away.

Earlier at the Allianz Arena, AC Milan claimed third place in the tournament with a narrow 1-0 win over Sao Paolo.

With the game goalless at half-time, substitute Kingsley Boateng broke the deadlock seven minutes after the restart.

Elsewhere, West Brom lost 1-0 to Genoa in a pre-season friendly at Telford's New Bucks Head with Shane Long deflecting Francesco Lodi's shot into his own net.
