Arsenal's Gervinho close to Roma move
Arsenal forward Gervinho is reportedly on the verge of completing a £6.9 million move to Roma after arriving in Italy on Sunday for a medical with the Serie A club.
The 26-year-old, who signed for the Gunners from Lille in 2011 for £11 million, has been linked with an exit from the Emirates all summer.
And manager Arsene Wenger revealed on Saturday that Arsenal are "close to an agreement with a club where he [Gervinho] should go".
That club now appears to be Roma after the Ivory Coast international was photographed arriving at Rome's Fiumicino Airport on Sunday morning.
Gervinho told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I'm very happy, it was my dream."
The forward is believed to have headed to the club's training ground to undergo his medical.
If he completes a switch to Roma, Gervinho will reunite with coach Rudi Garcia, having previous worked under him during his time at Lille.
