Jonathan Walters' second-half strike gave Stoke a 1-0 friendly victory against Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground.
The Republic of Ireland international was on hand to convert Charlie Adam's low corner at the near post.
Elsewhere, Christian Benteke inspired Aston Villa to a 2-0 win at Shamrock Rovers, setting up Andreas Weimann for the opener before heading in his side's second.
Villa new boys Aleksandar Tonev, Antonio Luna and Jores Okore were all given 45 minutes by manager Paul Lambert.
