Suarez considers legal action to force transfer

'Suarez will be leaving'

Luis Suarez is prepared to take legal action against Liverpool in a bid to force through his move to Arsenal, according to the Daily Mail .

A bid of £40,000,001 was turned down by Liverpool last week but Suarez has been advised that his contract allows him to move to a Champions League club for as long as the price is over £40 million.

Liverpool maintain they are only obliged to inform Suarez of the approach - which they did - and not to agree to it proceeding.

What seems clear is that Suarez does not want to remain at Anfield and the latest leak is another attempt to increase the pressure on the club to let him go.

It is reported the Premier League have been asked to clarify the contract and if that fails then Suarez's advisors will consider resorting to the courts to resolve it.

Suarez has yet to hand in a formal transfer request, while Arsenal are widely believed to have been told they can have him for £50 million, a price they are not so far willing to pay, especially as there seems little interest in the player from elsewhere.
