AVB rules out Defoe and Sigurdsson exits

Andre Villas-Boas has ruled out any possibility of Jermain Defoe and Gylfi Sigurdsson leaving Tottenham this summer.
Defoe, 29, has been linked with West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers - where he would be reunited with former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp - while Sigurdsson struggled to hold down a starting place after his summer move from Hoffenheim.
However, despite having strengthened with the likes of Paulinho and Roberto Soldado, Tottenham manager Villas-Boas said both Defoe and Sigurdsson remain in his plans for the new season.
"They are players we count on 100%," Villas-Boas said in the Daily Express. "Sigurdsson is completely in our plans. Defoe is a hero for Tottenham and has been doing well. He faces competition which he has always faced during his career."
