Vidic: Rooney will stay at United
Nemanja Vidic has backed David Moyes in standing firm over Wayne Rooney's desire to leave Manchester United - and believes the striker will stay at Old Trafford.
Moyes has insisted time and again that Rooney is not for sale and, although Chelsea have made two bids, United have vowed to keep him at the club.

And while Vidic, the United captain, has been impressed by Moyes' show of strength, he also praised Rooney for his attitude on the training ground.
"To be fair I am not worried as much," said Vidic. "Wayne is training well and obviously the club is really strong in what they are saying and they obviously know what they are doing and I trust in the manager and the club.
"I don't go that far, but what I can say he is training really well. He's good in the dressing room and that's the most important thing.
"Obviously he had a few small injuries in the last few weeks, but he has trained really well. Obviously he didn't have as much games, but the season is long and I think he will be good."
Apart from playing 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Real Betis, Rooney has not featured in United's pre-season games.
However, he did play 67 minutes for England on Wednesday and Moyes will assess him to see if he is fit enough to be involved against Swansea on Saturday.
