Etienne Capoue has completed his transfer from Toulouse to Tottenham Hotspur, signing a four-year contract with the club.

Toulouse confirmed last week they had agreed to sell Capoue to Spurs, and personal terms have since been agreed with the player passing a medical.

Capoue, who has only played for Toulouse in his professional career, confirmed on Wednesday to Sky Sports News that he would visit Hotspur Way on Thursday to finalise the terms of his contract.

"There are only some paperwork to sign now. I will be at the training ground tomorrow," he said on Wednesday evening. "Tottenham is a super club. It's the best club to continue my career. It should be official very quickly now."

Tottenham announced the agreement on their official website on Thursday, as did Toulouse, with the France international joining Roberto Soldado, Paulinho and Nacer Chadli in arriving at White Hart Lane this summer.

Capoue could be available for Tottenham's opening match of the Premier League season against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
