Arsene Wenger has revealed the club will do all they can to bring new faces to The Emirates as the pressure continues to increase on the Frenchman.

Arsenal have yet to spend any money during the transfer window, with young Frenchman Yaya Sanogo being the only signing on a free so far.

The Gunners have seen the likes of targets Gonzalo Higuain sign for Napoli, and have been thwarted in their bid to bring Liverpool's Luis Suarez and Bayern Munich's Luiz Gustavo to the club.

The Arsenal fans have vented their feelings, with the side being jeered off the pitch at the end of the Emirates Cup defeat to Galatasaray, with the majority wanting to see fresh faces.

But manager Wenger has promised Arsenal will attempt to capture new players, although he continued to remain coy on a subject which he has been criticised for over the past few years.

"There are 18 days to go, so that is a long time in the transfer market and we will be active," he told the club's official website.

"I cannot certify what the number [of players coming in will be], but we will be active until the end, that is for sure."
