Norwich are set to announce the capture of Johan Elmander, according to his current side Galatasaray.

Elmander last played in the Premier League with Bolton, playing 108 matches for the Wanderers before moving to Turkey in 2011.

However, with first team opportunities becoming a rarity in Istanbul, Elmander has decided to join Chris Hughton's Canaries.

"I can confirm Johan is moving to England. We have agreed with Johan, his new club Norwich and his agent Anders (Wallsten). We wish Johan the best of luck in the future," Galatasaray technical director Bulent Tulun told sportexpressen.se.

Elmander will join fellow new recruits Gary Hooper, Leroy Fer, Carlo Nash, Martin Olsson, Nathan Redmond, Javier Garrido and Ricky van Wolfswinkel at Carrow Road.
