Willian has completed his £32m move from Anzhi Makhachkala to Chelsea after the Brazilian was granted a work permit.

Willian, signed on a five-year deal, will wear the No. 22 shirt after Jose Mourinho gave evidence on his behalf at the hearing.

The winger, who had been courted by Tottenham before Chelsea hijacked their bid last week, completed a medical at the weekend.

"I'm very happy to be here - it's been a dream of mine to come and play here," Willian told Chelsea's official website.

"Chelsea are one of the best clubs in the world, and now I'm going to play for one of the best managers in the world, so I'm very happy and looking forward to it."

Willian will not feature in Chelsea's Uefa Super Cup squad to face Bayern Munich in Prague on Friday, leaving him to wait until after the international break before he gets to make his Blues debut.

Chelsea's next domestic fixture comes against Everton on September 14.
