Liverpool have completed three deals on the morning of transfer deadline as Victor Moses joined the club on loan following the permanent signings of defenders Thiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho.

Moses, 22, joined Chelsea from Wigan Athletic last summer for £9 million, but despite scoring ten goals in 42 appearances for the Blues last term he has been sent out on loan by new boss Jose Mourinho.

"First and foremost, I'm delighted to have made the loan from Chelsea to a big club like Liverpool," the Nigeria international told Liverpool's official website. "The most important thing is for me to be professional about it and I'm here to do a job for the club.

"The target is to get into the top four and for the club to compete in the Champions League - and I'm delighted to be here.

"The manager has done very well and the formation and players here will help me and I just want to gel in, get to know the players and play with them.

"There are a lot of quality players here - they're winning games and creating chances. It's a massive thing for me to be here."

Ilori, a 20-year-old centre-back joins from Sporting Lisbon for a fee of around £7 million, while Sakho has left Paris Saint-Germain to sign a long-term contract with the Reds for a fee in the region of £12 million.

The trio follow goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, central defender Kolo Toure, left-back Aly Cissokho, midfielder Luis Alberto and forward Iago Aspas into the club.

All three players were at Anfield on Sunday to watch Liverpool go top of the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United.

Rodgers is also continuing to chase a loan deal for Aston Villa keeper Shay Given, in order to provide cover for first choice Mignolet, although there is far less certainty of that happening before the transfer window shuts at 11pm on Monday.

Ilori's deal was confirmed on Monday morning after he underwent a medical at Liverpool's Melwood training ground on Saturday.

He told the club's official website: "I used to watch Jamie Carragher play as a young boy and I would have loved to have had the chance to train and play with him. I'd also like to one day maybe fill his place, too.

"The last 24 hours have been chaotic. It's been nerve-wracking -- I've just wanted to get things sorted out. But it's been exciting as well."

Sakho added: "I'm delighted to be here. I'd like to thank everyone for the welcome.

"I came here because the project that is in place at Liverpool interests me. I'm really looking forward to playing my first game.

"I'm really looking forward to cracking on with work and I can't wait to get on the pitch.

"I know the Liverpool fans are fantastic and while I was in France, it was clear for me to see they are amongst the best in England."

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also considering loan offers for defender Andre Wisdom and striker Fabio Borini. Wisdom is wanted by Wigan, while Borini is being chased by Sunderland and Swansea.
