Kaka snubs England for Milan return
Kaka has snubbed a potential move to the Premier League after deciding to re-join Italian giants AC Milan from Real Madrid.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani thrashed out a deal with Madrid, themselves fresh from breaking the world record transfer fee for Gareth Bale, told the club's official website that "certain love stories never end".
Kaka won the Scudetto and the Champions League in a six-year spell with the Rossoneri before moving to Spain in 2009, but failed to find any kind of form and fell out of favour as new midfielders were drafted in. The Brazilian asked to leave the Bernabeu last week and was immediately linked with Arsenal and Manchester United, before deciding to re-sign for Milan.
A statement on the Italian club's website read: "Yesterday evening, just after 8pm, in virtue of the traditionally good relationship between the two clubs, Real Madrid and Milan reached and formally ratified an agreement for the transfer of Ricardo Kaka to the Rossoneri.
"During the night, meanwhile, just before 3am, the agreement was reached with the Brazilian superstar."
Milan's penultimate new signing Alessandro Matri: "The whole squad wanted him to return. There is no doubting how important a player he is."
The 31-year-old has signed a two-year contract, and hopes to boost his chances of representing his country at next summer's World Cup by playing regularly.
