Liverpool striker Iago Aspas believes winning the Premier League is a realistic goal for his side this season, insisting the Reds are in a strong position to challenge for domestic honours.

Brendan Rodgers' men sit in third place, with a perfect record to open their campaign.

Ahead of Monday's trip to Swansea, Aspas has talked up Liverpool's chances of not only breaking into the top four, but having a serious shot at the title.

"We have an excellent attack," he said. "With Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez we are able to break any defence. It is certainly not madness to aspire to winning the title this season."

Aspas has started all three of Liverpool's league games this season but will face further competition for his place when Luis Suarez returns from suspension later this month.

But the Spaniard says he is now settled into his new surroundings and is ready to focus on making his mark at Anfield.

"I am still at the stage where I am adapting in Liverpool to the clothes and the food," he added. "But the people here relate to football and music, and for me it is a pleasure to live this experience. I always dreamed of playing for a big club, and Liverpool are known all over the world."
