Tottenham game passes without incident

Tottenham fans defied police instructions by chanting "Yid army" during their 3-0 Premier League defeat against West Ham.

Both sets of fans had been warned pre-match that they could face arrest if they were involved in any anti-Semitic chanting.

Despite the warning, Tottenham fans sang "Yid army" and "We'll sing what we want" before and during the game.

There was a strong police presence at the game but no sign of any mass arrest to either set of fans.

Last season in the corresponding fixture, a small section of West Ham fans shocked the football world by using anti-Semitic language.

But after pleas from owners David Sullivan and David Gold, as well as manager Sam Allardyce, there was no such chanting from the away end.
