Barcelona eyeing up Januzaj
Barcelona are confident of signing Adnan Januzaj if the 18-year-old turns down a new bumper contract at Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.
The teenager scored a double on the weekend to help United come from a goal down to beat Sunderland 2-1 at the Stadium of Light, but his contract at Old Trafford expires next summer, with negotiations stalling when Sir Alex Ferguson announced his retirement and passed on the responsibilities to David Moyes.
United though are preparing a deal worth up to £60,000-a-week in an attempt to keep Januzaj at the club, but Barcelona, who as the Daily Mail reports have been monitoring his development since he joined United from Anderlect in 2011, are in a position to land the star.
The links to the reigning La Liga champions comes on the back of Januzaj not yet deciding on which national side to represent.
Januzaj qualifies for Turkey, Serbia, Kosovo - should FIFA recognise the country as a footballing nation - Belgium and England, but it has been revealed that he has told United he is not ready to select a country to represent.
