Gazza joins Twitter as fans flock to follow
Paul Gascoigne has attracted more than a quarter of a million followers less than 24 hours after joining Twitter, and has vowed to show everyone "the real Gazza".
The former England international, who has struggled with alcoholism, posted his first tweet on Tuesday evening.
Finally on Twitter will keep everyone up to date... Looking forward to getting to know you guys and showing you the real Gazza !!

The 46-year-old also thanked fans for their messages of support and tweeted an iconic picture of himself from the 1990 World Cup in Italy, where he produced his finest moments in an England shirt.
Gascoigne was quick to catch the attention of his former England teammate Gary Lineker too:
Blimey Gazza has joined twitter. I should probably have a word with him. Welcome @gazzaofficial
