David Moyes was in the crowd for League 2 leaders Chesterfield's draw at Fleetwood Town on Saturday to watch promising youngster Tendayi Darikwa.

The 21-year-old right-sided midfielder, who can also play at full-back, has caught the attention of several Premier League and Championship sides this season with a series of dazzling displays.

But Darikwa, who has been at Chesterfield his whole career bar a brief loan spell at non-league Barrow, will find it hard to turn down a move to Old Trafford and work with a manager who has a good track record for bringing through promising youngsters.

But the Chesterfield board will face opposition from the club's supporters trust, who believe the Spirites lack ambition due to the club selling every promising player that comes through the ranks.
