Schmeichel eyes Sheffield United job
Peter Schmeichel is reportedly keen to put himself forward for the vacant Sheffield United manager's job.
The Manchester United legend, who has his coaching badges, is looking for his first role in management and is eyeing up succeeding David Weir.
Weir was axed after just four months in charge at Bramall Lane. Sheffield United are rock bottom of League One with one league win all season.
Weir was fired after the 3-2 defeat to Coventry at the weekend, with former Blades captain and under-21 coach Chris Morgan taking the reins on a temporary basis.
