Zaha treatment part of the process - Moyes

David Moyes says Wilfried Zaha's difficult start to life at Manchester United is part of the learning process.

The England international winger, who was a £15 million signing from Crystal Palace and Sir Alex Ferguson's last as United manager, is still yet to make his Premier League debut and often does not even make the bench.

His only game for United came in August's Community Shield win over Wigan and it is looking increasingly likely the 20-year-old will leave Old Trafford on loan in the January transfer window.

But manager Moyes, who has selected seven other players ahead of Zaha on the flanks, said he is benefiting from training with the United players.

Moyes said: "Wilf has not appeared. We have not felt we have had the opportunity.

"I want Wilf to get used to what happens here. The competition is hard. It is just impossible to get all these players a game at the one time. You can only ever play 11.

"It is important Wilf gets to see the level of the training here, the level of the players and the quality they have got. He is getting better which we are pleased about."

Earlier on Tuesday, Palace manager Ian Holloway distanced himself for a loan move for Zaha.
