Steve Kean is set to become the manager of Singaporean S-League club Brunei DPMM next year, according to their official website.

Kean has been out of a job since being forced to resign as Blackburn manager in September 2012 after a turbulent two years at Ewood Park.

But now the 46-year-old appears to be heading to Singapore to take charge of Brunei, who won the S-League in 2012 as well as the League Cup.

In July, Kean told Sky Sports: "I'm open-minded enough to consider all areas of the world whether it's Asia, the UK or Europe. I have been in Europe and the UK but I've never coached or managed in Asia, although it's something I would certainly consider. I have no preference really. I'm just to open any good offers."
