Mascot 'jailed' after handing official glasses
Hinting to an official that they need glasses is one of many well-known, if not slightly tiresome clichés in football - although mascot Bertie the Bee was left regretting his cheeky actions in Burnley's top of the table Championship tie with Queens Park Rangers.
Bertie was sent to the stands after handing the assistant referee a pair of glasses during the Clarets 2-0 victory at Turf Moor - prompting Twitter to go into meltdown when he was pictured sulking in a makeshift 'jail' at the ground.

However, it is not the first time Bertie Bee has made the headlines; during a match with local rivals Preston, the mascot rugby tackled a rogue streaker before celebrating with an impromptu worm dance.
Love Burnley mascot Bertie Bee - once rugby tackled a pitch invader + today sent off for giving glasses to linesman. Team game #UTC
