Big-spending Monaco are considering launching a £34 million bid for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, according to the Daily Mail.

The England international has been out with an abdominal problem after undergoing minor surgery last month, and signed a new three-and-a-half year contract in January worth £100,000-a-week.

But Monaco, who splashed the cash on the likes of Falcao and Joao Moutinho, are believed to be weighing up the possibility of signing Walcott.

The Daily Mail also reports that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is "unlikely to let the 24-year-old leave the club" and say that Walcott is "happy to stay at Arsenal".

Walcott ended last season as the club's leading scorer after netting 21 goals and collecting 14 assists.
