Former Liverpool managing director lined up for role at Rangers
Former Liverpool managing director Christian Purslow is set to take on a chief executive role at Rangers, Jim McColl has confirmed.
McColl is leading a group of rebel shareholders who are set to change the dynamics of the board at Ibrox, and along with Brian Stockbridge and James Easdale, the board look likely to be joined by Purslow.
"We have spoken to Christian about the role of coming in and helping sort out on the CEO side," McColl told Sky Sports News.
"I think Christian is open to that and quite keen, but he first wants to see stability on the board. He needs to see the board sorted out then he would be prepared to join. He is one of the people we think would be a good asset."
Rangers went into administration in February last year, and announced losses of £14.4 million in a 13-month period to the end of June.
