ESPN FC: Beckham back to MLS

David Beckham has lined up Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard to join him on his American adventure as he looks to sign the Premier League pair when the creation of his Miami MLS side is complete.

Beckham has chosen the Florida city as his preferred location and, according to the Daily Mail, Ferdinand and Lampard are the first two players he wants to coax across the Atlantic.

Ferdinand is out of contract at the end of the season and it is unlikely to be renewed as the 34-year-old struggles with form and fitness.

But he could still be a force in the MLS and a move to Miami would suit his media and leisure businesses, claim the paper.

Lampard, 35, is also out of contract next June and was on the verge of joining Beckham's former club LA Galaxy before the appointment of Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
