Chelsea are still paying former manager Roberto Di Matteo £130,000 a week despite the Italian's sacking in November 2012, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Di Matteo won both the Champions League and FA Cup in 2012 while caretaker manager at the club, and was handed a two-year deal in June last year in reward of his efforts.

However, Di Matteo left the club just six months later following a 3-0 Champions League defeat to Juventus last season but reportedly failed to agree a settlement with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.

The 43-year-old has picked up just shy of £7 million since departing his role at Stamford Bridge, and will continue receiving the weekly sum until June 2014.

Rafa Benitez replaced Di Matteo as interim boss, but left at the end of the season to make way for the return of Jose Mourinho.
