Manchester United manager David Moyes has indicated he is still hopeful of working with Cristiano Ronaldo at some point during his career.

Ronaldo spent just shy of six years at Old Trafford under Moyes' predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson, before moving to Real Madrid for £80 million in 2009.

Last summer, speculation surrounded Ronaldo about a possible return to Manchester, before the winger penned a new five-year deal with Madrid.

Despite Ronaldo having admitted he could finish his career at the Bernabeu, Moyes revealed he would still love to acquire his services sometime in the future.

"Everyone at Manchester United would tell you he is the best in the business anyway," Moyes said. "I have not been fortunate enough to work with him but there is still hope someday it might be possible."

Ronaldo is currently odds-on favourite to win FIFA's coveted Ballon d'Or award.
