Sturridge on bench for Liverpool in Merseyside derby

Daniel Sturridge is only fit enough to start on the bench for Liverpool in the Merseyside derby against Everton.

The England striker has been struggling with a thigh injury, and does not make the starting line-up for manager Brendan Rodgers.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Flanagan, Agger, Skrtel, Lucas, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Coutinho, Suarez

Substitutes: Jones, Toure, Alberto, Moses, Sturridge, Sakho, Sterling.

Everton: Howard, Baines, Distin, Jagielka (c), Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, Pienaar, Barkley, Mirallas, Lukaku

Substitutes: Robles, Heitinga, Jelavic, Deulofeu, Naismith, Osman, Stones
