Aston Villa fought back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw in the West Midlands derby against West Brom at The Hawthorns.

Shane Long struck after just two minutes, expertly controlling a long ball from Chris Brunt before turning and slotting into the bottom left corner.

The striker then got his second in the 11th minute, pouncing on a loose pass from Villa's Leandro Bacuna to chip a deft finish over Brad Guzan into the net off the underside of the bar.

However two Villa goals in ten second-half minutes transformed the game. First Karim El Ahmadi hooked the ball in past Boaz Myhill on 67 minutes before Ashley Westwood levelled with a low, swerving drive from 25 yards.
