James is England's No. 1

David James has been handed England's No. 1 jersey for the World Cup finals.
There has been widespread conjecture as to who will be in goal for England at the World Cup finals and Fabio Capello has given no indication as to who he prefers.
Robert Green and Joe Hart are vying with James for the gloves and if the squad numbers that were released on Thursday are any indication, James has been given the nod.
The move is no guarantee that James will be in goal for the opener against USA, but it can be read as an indicator.
As expected, Wayne Rooney will wear the No. 10 jersey and Peter Crouch is in contention to partner the Manchester United man after being handed the No. 9 shirt.
