Ryan Giggs starts for United, Joe Hart returns to City line-up

Ryan Giggs has been named in the Manchester United starting line-up for their clash away to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

The Welshman will turn 40 in two days' time, and he will take his place in David Moyes' side as United aim to qualify for the last 16 of the competition.

Manchester United: De Gea; Smalling, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra; Giggs, Jones; Valencia, Kagawa, Nani; Rooney

Substitutes: Lindegaard, Büttner, Anderson, Cleverley, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck

Leverkusen: Leno, Spahic, Omer Toprak, Donati, Reinartz, Rolfes, Bender, Can, Castro, Heung-Min Son, Kiessling

Substitutes: Lomb, Stafylidis, Wollscheid, Hegeler, Kohr, Derdiyok, Kruse.

Meanwhile, Joe Hart will start his first game for Manchester City since the loss to Chelsea on October 27 as the England international returns in goal in the Champions League clash against Viktoria Plzen.

Hart had been dropped to the bench with Costel Pantilimon getting the nod, but he takes his place in City's goal this evening against a side who have lost all four of their Champions League group games so far.

City have made seven changes from the side that thumped Tottenham 6-0 at the weekend, as they have already qualified for the last 16 of the competition.
