Wales manager Chris Coleman believes Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey's current form puts him on a par with the world's most expensive player - Gareth Bale.

Ramsey has been the standout player in the Premier League this season, scoring 15 goals for club and country and helping the Gunners to top the table, where they can go seven points clear of Liverpool with a win over Everton on Sunday.

His Welsh team-mate Bale has found similar success at his new club, Real Madrid, despite suffering from injury and has bagged seven goals in nine La Liga games and Coleman is pleased to have two stars in such good form.

"When you see what he is doing at the minute then why would you not say he is at a similar level (to Bale)?" he told Sky Sports. "What he's doing at the minute is enjoying his football.

"He's found his confidence again. He's always had the ability, he just needed to get the confidence back and he's got that. You can't be doing what he is doing without that.

"And he's doing it in every game. If he's not scoring, he looks like scoring. He's involved in everything. Rambo looks brilliant at the minute."
