David Silva is set to make his comeback for Manchester City after a month on the sidelines.

The Spain international, who injured a calf in November's 5-2 win over CSKA Moscow, is in the squad for their final Champions League group game, away at defending champions Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

But manager Manuel Pellegrini is without four other members of his squad for a meeting of two clubs who have already qualified for the last 16.

Midfielder Yaya Toure is suspended after collecting a third caution of the competition in the dying moments of the 4-2 win over Viktoria Plzen.

Defender Matija Nastasic and striker Stevan Jovetic, who both have calf problems, did not travel to Germany.

Pellegrini had originally hoped the Montenegro international forward, who has still only started three games since his summer move from Fiorentina, would be fit for the rematch with Bayern, who beat City 3-1 in Manchester in October.

Left-back Gael Clichy will also be absent with the foot injury that kept him out of Saturday's 1-1 draw against Southampton but Pellegrini expects the France international to be available for the weekend clash with his former club Arsenal.

He said: "Gael Clichy has a problem with his foot. It's not serious but he could not travel. I think he will be OK for Saturday.

"Nastasic and Jovetic have also stayed behind, but all the other players are available apart from Yaya Toure."
