Drogba thrilled with 'dream' Chelsea reunion
Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is relishing the prospect of a return to Stamford Bridge after the Blues were drawn with Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Drogba's final act as a Chelsea player was to score the winning penalty against Bayern Munich in the 2012 Champions League final, having equalised for the unlikely winners in normal time.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said he hoped to face Drogba's new side last week so that the Ivory Coast international could "feel what I felt" when he returned to the club.
Drogba echoed the sentiments when the sides were drawn together in the last 16 of the Champions League, posting his reaction on Instagram.
"What a draw... I'm the luckiest man in this competition," he wrote. "In both games I'll be playing home! See you in few months."
Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata said it would be a fond reunion for all concerned.
"Didier was a legend here," the Spaniard told Chelsea's website. "I guess that he would be very excited about coming back.
"He did a lot of great things for this club and scored a lot of very important goals. In fact, he scored probably the most important goals in the history of this club."
