Manchester United manager David Moyes has hinted that he is ready to sanction a loan deal for winger Wilfried Zaha in the upcoming January transfer window, but insisted his club have yet to receive an approach for the 21-year-old winger.

Zaha has struggled to make his mark at United this season, despite their stuttering start to the campaign under Moyes and it seems as if the Old Trafford chief will consider a temporary switch for the England international next month.

"I did say to Wilf if I didn't feel he was getting enough games, I would consider it," Moyes said in a report on MUTV. "Obviously if we've got injuries or other reasons, I wouldn't take it on board.

"The truth is we haven't had anybody phoning up and wanting to do that it the moment. While it's like that, I am fine."

A source has told ESPN that Newcastle are weighing up a possible offer for Zaha, with their manager Alan Pardew confirming he will try to make some calculated signings in the upcoming transfer window.

"I think we can be very calculated in this window," he stated. "If you are in a good position, there is no need to rush anything.

"In the corresponding window last year, we really needed to do some business and when you need to do business, I think it is a difficult window. When you don't need to do business, which perhaps you can argue we don't, then maybe you can look at it in a more calculated manner."

Zaha, who took to Twitter earlier this month to vehemently deny allegations that he has being having a relationship with the daughter of United manager Moyes, has made just two Premier League appearances for United, both as a substitute.
