Luis Suarez captains Liverpool in unchanged side to face Cardiff

Luis Suarez will once again captain Liverpool in the absence of Steven Gerrard as they aim to move to the top of the Premier League.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has named an unchanged side from the one that demolished Tottenham 5-0 at White Hart Lane last Sunday.

Suarez, fresh from signing a new long-term contract at the club, will lead the line wearing the captain's armband, as Liverpool look to overtake Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Flanagan, Skrtel, Sakho, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Suarez.

Substitutes: Jones, Toure, Agger, Alberto, Aspas, Moses, Kelly.

Cardiff: Marshall; Theophile-Catherine, Caulker, Turner, Taylor; Medel, Gunnarsson; Noone, Mutch, Whittingham; Odemwingie.

Substitutes: Lewis; Hudson, Cornelius, Campbell, Kim, Cowie, John.
