Wilshere: Abusive fans targeted my kids
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere claims that his gesture towards Manchester City fans, which earned him a two-game ban, was because they were targeting his children.
Wilshere missed Monday's 0-0 draw against Chelsea and will also sit out the Boxing Day clash at West Ham after the FA slapped him with a ban following Arsenal's 6-3 defeat at the Etihad Stadium.
The England international admitted he was wrong to be riled up by the fans' abuse, but revealed that he was angry over his two kids being targeted.
Gutted not to be Involved last night! Shouldn't of reacted the way I did but I know all you dads out there love your kids the way I do....

Suppose I will just have to take the abuse about my kids in future......anyway, one more game to go! Can't wait to be back! #AFC
