Roy Keane is set to hit back at his former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson with the release of a new book next year.

Ferguson had criticised Keane in his second autobiography, released in October. He said: "The hardest part of Roy's body is his tongue."

Keane responded in kind by blasting his former manager's comments. "People like to do books and criticise their ex-players," he said.

Now the former United captain is set to lift the lid on life under Ferguson after being approached by a publisher.

Keane's time at the club was brought to an end by Ferguson in 2005 after he criticised several United players in an interview with MUTV that was never aired.
