Swansea leading race to loan Sterling
Swansea could win the race to sign Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling on loan if the Reds tie up a deal for Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, according to the Daily Mirror.
Liverpool are supposedly closing in on Salah, who has impressed for current club FC Basel on the Champions League stage, with the newspaper reporting talks over a possible five-year deal had gone well.
Rodgers is keen for Sterling to go out on loan and gain experience, with the Welshman's former club Swansea leading the race to borrow the England international.
Sterling has scored four goals in 17 appearances for the Reds this season, including one in their 5-0 demolition of Tottenham on December 15.
