Manchester United manager David Moyes has confirmed Ashley Young will miss his side's FA Cup clash against Swansea on Sunday with a shoulder injury.

Moyes stated the winger suffered the knock during a clash with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in Wednesday's defeat to Tottenham at Old Trafford.

However, the Scot admitted he did not know when Young will be fit enough to return to action.

During his Friday press conference, Moyes stated: "It's a shoulder injury he received in the challenge [by Lloris]. I'm not sure how long it'll be."

Moyes was left fuming by the incident, which he argued in his post-match conference that his side should have been awarded a penalty for.

Meanwhile, Moyes did not indicate the fitness level of Robin van Persie, who has missed United's last six games through injury and remains a doubt for the FA Cup third round clash.
