Yaya Toure returns for City, strong line-up against West Ham in League Cup semi-final clash

Manuel Pellegrini has named a strong Manchester City side for the visit of West Ham to the Etihad for their Capital One Cup semi-final clash.

Having drawn 1-1 with Blackburn in the FA Cup third round on Saturday, Pellegrini is keen to get back to winning ways, and has named Yaya Toure in the starting line-up against West Ham, after the Ivorian was on the bench against Blackburn. Samir Nasri also returns to the side.

For West Ham, new signing Roger Johnson is thrown straight into the side by under-pressure manager Sam Allardyce, whose side were knocked out of the FA Cup following a 5-0 demolition at Notttingham Forest.

Manchester City starting line-up: Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy; Nasri, Yaya, Garcia, Silva; Negredo, Dzeko.

Substitutes: Hart, Nastasic, Demichelis, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Milner, Lopes.

West Ham: Adrian, Demel, Johnson, O'Brien, McCartney; Downing, Diame, Noble, Taylor, J Cole; Maiga.

Substitutes: Jarvis, Rat, Collison, Morrison, Diarra, Jaaskelainen, C.Cole.
