Manchester United are without Wayne Rooney or Robin van Persie in their Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Sunderland at Old Trafford.

The pair are still yet to return from injury, though have been in training at Carrington this week.

Darren Fletcher steps in as captain for United, following Nemanja Vidic's three-match ban for his red card at Chelsea.
