Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha is close to securing a loan move to struggling Cardiff City for the rest of the season, the Manchester Evening News has reported.

Zaha, who joined United from Crystal Palace in a £15 million deal last year, has reportedly undergone a medical with Cardiff, who are managed by former Old Trafford striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The paper said he had been seen entering a hospital in Cardiff to undergo his medical. If the move goes through, it is expected that he could make his Cardiff debut against Norwich City on February 1. United and Cardiff meet next week but Zaha would be ineligible to play in that fixture.

Earlier this month, Cardiff's Welsh rivals Swansea denied reports that they were planning to bring in Zaha on loan, while speculation that he could return to Palace on a short-term basis also proved wide of the mark.
