Crystal Palace are close to a deal to take Blackpool winger Tom Ince to Selhurst Park on loan until the end of the season.

Palace, who beat Hull on Tuesday to move four points clear of the relegation zone, held talks with Ince throughout Thursday and expect to secure the 22-year-old on deadline day.

The England Under-21 international has spoken to a number of Premier League clubs in recent days, in Swansea, while Hull and Sunderland were also keen.

Swansea withdrew from negotiations on Thursday, with a club spokesman admitting they were going to "pursue other options".

Speaking to BT Sport, Palace co-chairman Steve Parish said: "Tom's just an amazing player and an impressive young man.

"He's bright, articulate and destined for the very top of the game. If we could get him at our football club, we would be very proud to have him."

Ince, who began his career at Liverpool, has been given permission by Championship side Blackpool to discuss a loan move. He has scored 33 goals in 113 matches for the Seasiders.
